A private message center that replaced back-and-forth emails about health questions.

The challenge
People using the PRC platform at Express Scripts / Cigna asked for help by email, and staff sorted every message by hand. Questions often reached the wrong team, and there was no private, secure place to talk about sensitive health information.
What we built
A secure message center. People choose the type of question, fill in a short form made for it, and the message goes straight to the team that handles it. Both sides have an inbox to follow the conversation.
The outcome
The message center replaced the manual email process and is live at prc.express-scripts.com. Adding a new type of question is now a simple setting, not a programming job.
